Next Packing Day - February 11, 2012 starting at 9:30 am

Crossroads Church
5900 Woodbury Drive
Cottage Grove, MN 55016

February is here and we pack next Saturday, 2/11/2012, at 9:30 am at Crossroads Church.  This should be a fun time as we will be filling the pages of photo albums to send to each on our list.  I have created collages of our packing days, our ATOH fundraisers, church staff and people who have helped us along the way.  This will give our guys/gals an idea of who we are and who loves them so much!

Below, I have included a recipe for those who care to make some for the boxes.  It is scrumptiously delicious and once you start eating it – it’s hard to stop.  We have sent this before and many have raved about it.  Two batches would be enough for 3 packages.   We currently have 37 (maybe 40) My calculations suggest we would need 12 people to make 2 batches each  (or 24 making 1 batch).   Hope you have a LARGE bowl to mix it!  If you don’t have time and would like to donate items, we are encouraging people to bring AAA batteries and white socks.

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE ITEMS AT HOME . . . . .

.PEANUT BUTTER WHITE CHOCOLATE CRUNCH

3 CUPS    CORN CHEX   (I used 4 Cups of all 5 ingredients)

3 CUPS    RICE CHEX

3 CUPS    FRITOS

3 CUPS    MINI PRETZELS (I used small pretzel sticks also)

3 CUPS    POPCORN OR PUFF CORN

1 BAG      PEANUT BUTTER CHIPS

1 BAG     WHITE CHOCOLATE CHIPS  (I used half of a 24 oz. bag of White Bark)

1 tsp        oil (mix this into the chips)

Melt the chips together.  Mix the other items together, pour the chips over them and mix well.  Pour all on to cookie sheets which are covered with parchment  or wax paper.  Cool, break apart

 * Home baked items can be vacuum sealed or individually wrapped.
All breads should be left whole as mold can result at the cut area.
Suggestion would be to use the small disposable pans for baking and leave the breads in the pans for shipping.
Thank you so much!
